
After having what seemed like a roller-coaster ride during qualifications for the FIBA World Cup set to hold in China from the 31st of August, D’tigers would surely have their work cut out in the main event. Ranked number 1 in Africa and number 33 in the world, D’tigers would look to continue the fine form displayed in the qualifiers and the warm up games. D’tigers won a total of 10 out of 12 qualifying games to get to China. In February of 2018, they began their qualifying campaign in Bamako by beating Uganda 102-86, then trashed Rwanda 108-53 before ending that qualifying window by defeating Mali 82-59.
